Navigating Challenges in Correctional Healthcare

I’ve been reflecting on the unique challenges we face, especially when it comes to policy development. For instance, incorporating mental health services into a standard care framework can be complex, given the constraints we often encounter. I’m curious to know how others in the field have successfully navigated similar issues or if there are innovative solutions you’ve come across recently.

I found that involving the inmates in the planning process made a big difference — when they feel heard, they’re more likely to engage with the mental health services offered. I’ve seen similar success in @mentalhealthgroups, and it often leads to more innovative solutions. How do you currently involve your community in these discussions?
